Reimagining Collaboration in the Australian and Vietnam Beef Cattle Sectors
Building on issues identified in the first phase of the Australia Vietnam Enhanced Economic Engagement Program, Griffith University, IPSARD and FGGAP in collaboration with Meat and Livestock Australia implemented a project addressing beef cattle consumption, markets, and trade changes in Vietnam with implications for Australia. The project ran between September 2023 and May 2024.
Project activities included: establishing a beef and cattle market intelligence platform, hosting a technical symposium in Hanoi in 2023, a trade and innovation delegation to Queensland, Northern Territory and Beef24 in May 2024, and a high-level policy dialogue in Hanoi in May 2024. The project created opportunities for Australian institutions and businesses in Vietnam, expanded economic collaboration, and supported future bilateral trade and investments.
